High Resolution Laminated Inserts
High Resolution Laminated Glass Inserts is an exciting new alternative to the red and blue Flashed glass that has unlimited design potential and is a thermally laminated safety glass. Brian Pioneered this method of Victorian Flash reproduction as he was trying to find a way around the limiting shock sheet sizes of Flashed glass from France, that only come in sizes 950x 800mm. The Colour laminated Glass method allows for greater lengths of glass at 1800mm+, which are popular in many sidelight door surrounds in federation homes around Australia.
Patterns can be photographically reproduced or computer generated on acetate that is thermally laminated in between two pieces of glass, therefore allowing for a wide range of designs and sizes. the film is also available in a wide range of overall colours. This film is transparent or can be backed with a white frost to make it more obscure yet still allowing light to filter through.
Because the design area in High-Resolution Laminate Glass is naturally clear/transparent, for an additional fee we can sandblast the design to make it look frosted. This treatment make the finished glass look closer to the traditional Red Flashed French Antique glass.
The coloured film process is specifically designed to be laminated between two pieces of clear glass making it strong and ideal for door surrounds.
